FAQ
Please message me privately if your question is not answered below. I have open communication with all patients. There should never be a concern or unanswered question regarding your care. Too many patients are afraid to talk to their doctors. Not here and not with me!

1. What is chiropractic care? Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline. We focus on the cause of conditions and how to optimize our bodies ability to help itself. We diagnosis and treat neuromuscular disorders. In this office I use a variety of non-invasive techniques to address issues such as joint restriction, muscle tension, nervous system dysfunction.

2. What conditions can chiropractors treat? As a portal of entry physician we will determine the best course of treatment and best provider for that care. In this office patients present with neck and back pain, vertigo, headaches, wellness/maintenance care, sports fitness, posture, weight loss....

3. How does chiropractic adjustment work? Chiropractic adjustment, or spinal manipulation, involves applying controlled force to a joint to improve its range of motion. Proper motion determines function. In the process of moving the joints gases between the joint are releases and fluids are exchanged. This causes the "cracking" noise. This is done to alleviate pain and discomfort, reduce inflammation, and improve function.

4. Is chiropractic care safe? YES! Compared to other treatments, chiropractic manipulation is one of the safest and most natural ways to treat nueromuscular injury or dysfunction. Some rare risks and side effects associated with chiropractic care are particularly for people with underlying or pre-existing health problems.

5. How long does a typical chiropractic session last? I book 20 minute sessions. Some patients prefer to book 2 sessions for treatment, but that is based on patient desire and need.

6. How many chiropractic sessions are usually required? I pride myself on getting patients well within a reasonable amount of time. With most conditions, if I don't see a change within 6 visits then I need to investigate further or change my method of treatment. Chronic conditions may require a different course of action.

7. Do chiropractors only treat back pain? Not in this office. It is a very common reason for seeking care, but if you have a concern with any part of your body or system of the body ask me. If you have questions on lifestyle modifications, exercise, and nutrition to promote overall wellness ask me that too.
8. Can anyone undergo chiropractic treatment? YES! I have seen all ages from newborn to 103. My method of treatment will not look the same across that range. I alter care based on many factors. There are cases Chiropractic Care may not be indicated. There may be a case where surgery is needed. I can guide through all avenues or potential avenues of treatment even if I am not the primary provider at a certain time.
9. Do chiropractors use X-rays for diagnosis? I do not require X-rays or other diagnostic imaging to see a patient. I may order one if I believe it will determine or change a course of care or if I believe there could be a contraindication to treat.

10. Do you accept insurance? No. Sorry, but no. Patients have had great success using HSA and FSA accounts for care. My fees are in line with most copays as well.
